Georgia Forestry CommissionThe Georgia Forestry Commission was created by the Georgia Legislature via House Bill 244 in 1949 to replace the Department of Forestry which was first established in 1925. The Commission provides Educational Services, Rural Forestry Services, Fire Related Services, Forest Products Utilization, Marketing, Development, and Seedling Sales - Reforestation, and Urban and Community Forestry Services.
